Who can do what in NEER Confluence? Here is our preferred approach:

All NEER participants belong to a group called confluence-users. They should be able to view, comment on, and edit all pages on the Confluence site, with the following exceptions:

  • Only members of a specific Research Cluster can create and edit pages within the space for that Cluster. Other participants can view and comment on pages.
  • Only an individual participant should be able to create and edit pages within their Personal Space. Other participants can view and comment on pages.
  • Only members of the Postgrads/ECRs group can create and edit pages within the Postgraduates and ECRs space. Other participants can view and comment on pages.
  • Only members of the NEER Management Committee can view, comment on, and edit pages in the NEER Management space.
  • Only the Digital Services Director can create and edit pages within the Digital Services space. Other participants can view and comment on pages.
  • The Using Confluence space is maintained by the administrators. Other participants can view and comment on pages.

Anonymous users (i.e. those without a login) should be able to see and comment on pages which are intended for general public access.
