This is the home page for the NEER Research Cluster entitled 'The voice passes but the letter remains': The Letter in Europe, 1150-1850.
This Research Cluster brings together a blend of experienced scholars and early career researchers, all of them concerned in interestingly different ways with letters not only as a literary genre and historical texts but as important evidence for themes touching many contemporary scholarly preoccupations in the period 1150-1850, above all for Britain, France and Italy.
