This is the home page for the Institute of Medieval and Early Modern Studies space. IMEMS is one of the Research Areas in the Research and Enterprise Partnership between Aberystwyth University and Bangor University. The Research Partnership is funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales and the Welsh Assembly Government.
IMEMS has four research strands:
- Women and the Sacred
- Cultures of the Written Artefact
- 'Centres' and 'Peripheries'
- Cultures of War
This space is for work-in-progress discussions within the IMEMS research strands, and most of its contents are only accessible by IMEMS researchers.
